Firstly my name - John Black, a 40 year old Scot
who first witnessed Kate Bush singing Wuthering
heights away back in 1978 and I remember thinking
"I Like That!" those were the easy days of the
simple hate, like or love, rating scale, I have
improved on that these days, it's now OLD GOLD and
MODERN NOISE!, I must be getting old.
My next connection with Kate came in January 1979 I
bought Lionheart and was totally disappointed that
Wuthering Heights wasn't on it, only to be informed
by a mate who was more musically up to speed that
this was her second album, so naturally I rushed
out and bought The kick inside, and I've been
rushing out to buy her stuff ever since.
I joined The Kate Bush Fan Club in 1980 and
eventually through pen pal adverts, I met my
current fiancée, Joanna another big fan, and
I suppose we just had to be.
 In
May 2002, in an effort to get a regular Sunday chat
with my German pen pal and fellow Kate Bush fan, I
started The
Kick Inside MSN Group and it has just blossomed
into a fun, friendly place to hang out and chat. At
first the chat was only once a week but this has
since evolved into a thrice weekly chat -
Friday 8.45pm
Saturday 8.00pm
Sunday 7.00pm
All UK times
Now today there is this new step forward with the
launch of The Kick Inside Tribute Site. I have to
give ALL the credit to Robert as I simply don't
have his patience to put this kind of quality into
a site, as you can tell a lot of time and effort,
not to mention tears and anguish went into this
site
