Hounds Of Love Songbook

EMI Publishing

36 pages, a lot of black and white pictures of Kate in the first few pages and at the end. A lovely full colour pull out folded poster in the middle, measuring 61 cm x 26 cm in size.

This was purely an impulse buy, just a book containing all the words and music for the songs, it did have the great pull out poster.

Only for serious collectors.

Kate Bush With Love

Kate Bush With Love

A superb book, again another auction item won in ebay. It's basically a scrapbook transformed into a glossy soft cover coffee table book. 60 Pages Long, black and white cuttings from various sources, starting from Feb 1978 with loads of reviews for "The Kick Inside" LP. Every page looks like a typical scrapbook some articles and promo adverts are put in sideways to fit, I must get this on the site, yes you guessed it.

"This album should've come out on Harvest in 1969 and been deleted two weeks later along with all their other stiffs, now if that had happened there might have been something interesting in this Space and I'd be in bed instead of writing this review. When's the new album by Beccy Hobbs coming out then?"

Boy he must be one hell of an expert, Beccy Who? His name is Sandy Robertson might be an ex-Sounds duffer. The book is crammed full of great treats, right through to Nov 1986, then it's a few pictures of single sleeves and the Kick picture disc, this is a must for Kate fans.

A visual documentary

Kate Bush - A visual documentary

Kevin Cann & Sean Mayes. Omnibus Press

A Large soft cover book, with a very attractive front cover and very detailed content. 96 pages in total crammed full of great pictures, both colour and black and white.

This book takes us from 1958 (the year of her birth) through to 1988, and contains some very detailed accounts of events throughout the years, also features a discography, a note of various books published about her, plus fanzines etc.

Again I would consider this as a valuable source for Kate Bush information.

An Illustrated biography

Kate Bush - An illustrated biography

Paul Kerton. Proteus Books.

Ah, the book with the least attractive cover, yet another great source of information. 111 Pages of great Kate Bush history, featuring a lot of poems by one Catherine Bush (form III), such as 'Epitaph for a Rodent'.

With a scattering of superb colour pictures this is a neat and enjoyable book to read, although it has one tiny flaw, in the discography it credits Kate as about to release an album called 'Babooshka' (June/July 1980). Oh well, almost right.
